Projects bags are just what you need for knitting and crocheting on the go. Store everything you need for your WIPs- cakes, skeins, stitchmarkers, notions and most importantly your current knitting project.

These drawstring bags are perfect for knitting, sewing or embroidery projects on the go.

Show your creativity with this beautifully illustrated designer fabric - no boring plaid for you. 'Bell jar' features a handful of fantastic bird breeds drawn in a painterly effect within white bell jars on a light blue/green background.

3 small Internal pockets to store all your extra little tools, notions, and stitchmarkers.

Fully lined inside with medium interfacing and boxed corners give the bags a little extra rigidity so it won't collapse in on itself- you can even fold down the sides and use it in a bucket shape for a portable yarn bowl.

Drawstring design meaning you won't catch your yarn and much-loved project on any of those pesky zips or buttons. Pop your yarn cakes and balls in the bag, pull the drawstrings and carry on knitting, stopping everything from rolling away whilst your knitting.

Once you've finished all your WIPs and planned projects then use your bag to store and organise toys, accessories or use as a travel bag.

Available in both large and small sized project bags - pick your size to suit your project. Or even pick a matching pair.

  • The small Project bags are the perfect size for socks, gloves and hat knitting projects.
  • Take your shawl and sweater projects out and knit in the wild with the Large project bag.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Why do you use British wool instead of stocking merino?

At Woollen Wytch, we’re proud to support British farmers by using 100% British-grown wool.

This not only reduces the carbon footprint of our yarn but also celebrates the incredible variety and quality of wool produced right here in the UK.

While merino is popular, it’s often sourced from South America or Australia, which comes with significant environmental costs.

By choosing British wool, we’re championing sustainability, local agriculture, and heritage breeds. 🌍🐑

How is hand-dyed yarn packaged for shipping?

At Woollen Wytch, we prioritize sustainability in our packaging.

Your hand-dyed yarn is carefully wrapped to protect it during transit, using eco-friendly materials like recyclable paper and compostable mailers.

We avoid using plastic whenever possible, so your yarn arrives beautifully presented and planet-friendly! 🌍✨

Why does my skein of hand-dyed yarn look different from the photos online?

Each skein of hand-dyed yarn is a unique work of art, dyed in small batches that can result in slight variations.

Lighting and screen settings may also affect how colours appear.

These subtle differences are part of the charm and individuality of hand dyed yarns.

Will the colours in hand-dyed yarn bleed or fade?

Hand-dyed yarns are carefully dyed using professional-grade acid dyes and set with citric acid to lock in the colours.

While minimal bleeding can sometimes occur during the first wash, proper care—such as washing in cool water with a gentle detergent—will keep your yarn vibrant for years to come.
