I’m Back! Big Updates for Woollen Wytch + Exciting Plans for 2025 🌊🧶

Hi everyone, and welcome back to another Woollen Wytch video! It’s been quite a while since my last update—probably back in June—so I thought it was high time to catch up with you all.
This year hasn’t been the easiest, as many of you know from my earlier videos. It started off on a rough note with the loss of my nan, and then another heartbreaking loss followed. After attending Wonderwool with some friends, one of those dear friends passed away shortly after the event. She was such a pillar of the knitting community, and her absence has been deeply felt.
On top of that, life has just been... well, life. One of our beloved cats had to be put down recently, which was another blow. All of this has made it hard to find the motivation or time to create videos, but I’m trying to get back into the groove.
I’ve set up a little makeshift filming area in my reading nook, which is one of my favorite spaces in the house. It’s cozy and calming, surrounded by my books. Hopefully, as we continue to work on the house, I’ll be able to do a proper house tour one day!
Now, onto some brighter updates! Despite the challenges, Woollen Wytch is still going strong, and I’m gearing up for an exciting 2025. I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be attending Unravel in February and the East Anglia Yarn Festival in March. It’ll be my first time at Unravel, and since it’s a three-day show, it’s going to be a big one! I’m adjusting my setup for these events, especially with a smaller car, so bear with me if I don’t bring as much stock as usual.
I’m also bringing back the Sub Club—my monthly yarn subscription boxes—for 2025! The theme is Nautical Nexus, and I’m so excited to dive into all things sea-themed. You can expect everything from sea creatures to mythical nautical elements, all in a bold, neo-traditional tattoo-inspired style. There are several subscription options available, whether you’re looking for yarn, stitch markers, or both. The first box, for January, is already available for pre-order, with a cut-off date of January 8th.
Beyond Woollen Wytch, there’s some big personal news: Ant and I are finally getting married! We’ve been engaged since 2009, and the big day is set for late April. It’s going to be an intimate ceremony with just close family, followed by a honeymoon in Florence. Neither of us are seasoned travelers, so it’s a mix of excitement and nerves!
On top of all that, I’ve been working towards becoming an ICB-certified bookkeeper, which has been keeping me quite busy. Balancing studying, wedding prep, and running Woollen Wytch has been a challenge, but I’m determined to keep moving forward.
Thank you so much for sticking with me through this journey. I’m looking forward to creating more content and sharing new projects with you all. I’ve got lots of plans in the works, so hopefully, the gap between videos won’t be as long next time.
Take care, and thanks for watching! Bye for now!
